Guide Dogs has been transforming the lives of people living with sight loss in Northern Ireland for over 30 years.
The guide dog service is at the heart of what we do, but it's not for everyone. We've been developing and delivering more services to help blind and partially sighted people to get out and about on their own terms.
Across Northern Ireland it is estimated that around 9,000 blind and partially sighted people rarely leave home alone. Guide Dogs NI is committed to changing this.
Guide Dogs work is funded entirely through voluntary donations. 70% of our income is through legacies left in peoples wills and through an army of volunteer fundraisers, local businesses, local organisations, charitable trusts and foundations.
As we rely mainly on volunteers to raise these essential funds, every hour that is given freely is priceless to guaranteeing the future services of Guide Dogs to people in Northern Ireland. No matter how much time you are able to give, you’ll know you are making a difference to the lives of local people living with sight loss.
